Located in Madison County, Virginia on scenic route 231, Shotwell Run Brewing Company and Blue Quartz Winery share a Tasting and Tap room that features craft beer, estate grown wine and hard ciders.

Food is available from our kitchen and grill or Food Trucks on site.

The spacious Tasting and Tap Room with expansive outdoor space sits on a knoll overlooking the beautifully maintained vineyard and Old Rag Mountain.

We are both kid and dog friendly.

The journey began when Hal White, a passionate beer enthusiast with farm-life dreams, crossed paths with Chris Wallin, a city girl with a love for fine wines. In 2009, they invested in a picturesque property in Madison County, Virginia, setting the stage for something special.

With a shared vision of creating a farm winery, Hal and Chris began planting grapes and building the foundation for what would become their family-run venture. Their hard work and dedication led to the opening of the Tasting and Tap Room on July 13, 2019—a warm, welcoming space designed for guests to enjoy wine, handcrafted beer and the beauty of the mountains.

Today, after years of growth and evolution, Shotwell Run Brewing Co. is proudly run by Hal and Chris. Together, they continue to uphold their commitment to quality, hospitality, and the family spirit at the heart of everything they do.
